Welcome to the website for Timberland Acres.
We are a budding farm in Southwest Washington State raising Boer Goats, Texel Sheep, Tamworth and Cross Hogs, Muscovy Ducks, Chickens, and Guineas. All of our animals are raised on pasture and range for what nature supplies.
Our farm is surrounded with Port Blakely Forest Land and we share our land with a lot of the wildlife in the area.
In order to protect our herd from danger we use 5 strands of electric fencing and we have a Guarding Llama, Serenity Acres Double Take.
While we do not expect our Llama to “protect” the herd she does let us know if anything unusual is in the area or danger is lurking about. She acts as a Herd Alarm System, calling our attention to come out and check on the safety of the herd.
In addition to the Llama, our two Belgian Tervuren are true to their heritage, alerting us to anything amiss or dangerous in the area. When the Llama’s alarm goes off, the dogs do too.
